About Nuevo

I’m a muralist and visual storyteller rooted in the Pacific Northwest, working at the intersection of graffiti, public art, and nature-inspired design. While my journey with art began in sketchbooks and alleyways, I’ve since expanded into large-format walls, digital illustration, and community-driven projects. Entirely self-taught, I’ve spent years refining my style — blending bold letterforms, expressive characters, and organic imagery into immersive murals that speak to both place and people. My name is Nuevo — a name I chose for its meaning and feeling. I’ve always found the Spanish language beautiful, and when I was younger, I wanted a name that reflected my drive to constantly create, evolve, and push boundaries. Nuevo, meaning “new,” became a symbol of that pursuit — to stay inventive, inspired, and always moving forward. My work reflects a deep respect for both urban energy and the natural landscape. Influenced by graffiti, skate culture, west coast forests, and the flow of human movement, I aim to make art that’s alive — that pulses with color, rhythm, and meaning. Every surface is a canvas, and every mural an opportunity to shift the mood of a space, challenge perception, or just bring joy. Collaboration is central to what I do. Whether I’m painting a skatepark, helping a community reimagine their walls, or working on a commission, I approach every piece with intention and openness. I'm particularly drawn to projects that celebrate local identity, amplify underrepresented voices, or simply bring more color to the everyday. While I may not have decades of client names behind me yet, I move with the same drive: to make art that resonates, transforms space, and leaves lasting impact. As I continue to explore new techniques, digital tools, and bigger canvases, I stay rooted in the raw, expressive freedom that first pulled me into graffiti. This is just the beginning — and I’m here to paint boldly, think big, and bring walls to life.
